Demonstrating a good grasp of the English language, coupled with unique adaptability, unwavering loyalty and dedication to their jobs, the Filipino worker has a proven track record of being the most sought after worker by their host employers in various parts of the world.

There are roughly around nine million Filipino overseas contract workers currently deployed around the world. Majority of them, numbering 3 million, are working in the Middle East Region, in areas such as Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain.

This represents about 10% of the country's population. Each year, the Philippines send out about 2 million workers to work abroad through its overseas employment programs.
