Starting salaries for graduate teachers range from $A53000 to $A55000 per annum. You can expect higher salaries for experienced teachers. A senior class room teacher can earn $80000 and a new bonus system for high performing teachers will be introduced in 2013. There are financial incentives and accommodation assistance for teachers to work in country areas.
